The police receive a disturbing piece of information. An officer’s torch illuminates a grotesque scene: the bloody corpse of a woman and, by its side, a little girl in a state of shock. Beatriz Varga, a young psychiatrist, takes a job at a prestigious sanatorium that specialises in hypnosis and is miles away from the nearest town. There, she finds out about the case of this little girl. On her first day, she manages to get an answer out of her that had never been heard before. However, Beatriz’s hopes of helping this girl suddenly vanish: the girl is found dead… her veins slashed. One enigmatic patient, suffering from the deepest amnesia imaginable, draws Beatriz into a maze from which it is impossible to escape: ‘Beatriz, be careful… it wasn’t suicide’. Reality and fantasy begin to merge in the increasingly unstable mind of the doctor. Very nice psycho drama thriller,
This review is for the Amazon VOD rental of this film. This is a very good
psychological thriller. Good story line and well acted. Cristina Brondo plays
a psychiatrist working in a hospital for the insane. Her life comes undone as
she can not tell fantasy from reality. The plot line of this film is very much
like that of the film SHUTTER ISLAND. Brondo is a lovely and talented actress
and is very good in her lead role. This was very much worth the VOD rental price.

|Quite good. I liked it.,
This movie was quite good. It’s not super amazing but I enjoyed it. It follows a pattern in movies where the beginning is tied to the climax at the end. When you see the movie you will know what I’m referring to. For this reason it lacks a bit of originality but it winds up making sense toward the end.
There were some things that were sort of odd which distracted me. Such as some of peripheral actors who came and went in the movie that you might have thought would have lead to more. And I’m not sure why Christina got her hair cut differently in the middle of the movie. Just odd details that I thought were a bit distracting and didn’t really contribute to the storyline.
I own this DVD and I’d watch it again and plan to.

A fine psych-thriller. Cristina Brondo tears this up, with Bichir Todo el Poder giving it the edginess it needs.
